Salary: From £18,000

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

About the role

Sitting within the Residential Sales team, you will be at the forefront of Bristol Energy’s brand, delivering positive and powerful conversations to customers on the phone, via email and face to face.

You will be responsible for delivering key sales and retention targets. You will be operating across a number of different channels and campaigns, including inbound and outbound voice channels, email and some really fantastic face to face events.

This position will be exciting, fast-paced and varied – so you will need to be able to turn your hand to a number of activities. Personality is key in this role!

Key accountabilities

Your main accountabilities are listed below:

  • Promoting the benefits of Bristol Energy via a varied channel mix

  • Driving customer acquisition and retention through successful closing of warm leads

  • Providing accurate and compliant quotes

  • Onboarding customers' information accurately into our systems to ensure a smooth sale to switch journey

  • Managing your own lead pipeline with consistent lead follow up and recording results thoroughly

  • Providing an excellent customer experience by taking ownership of work

  • Reducing customer losses through delivering powerful conversations at key points in the customer journey

  • Identifying upsell opportunities for customers at different stages within their sales journey

  • Delivering on your promises, which is important to drive the required customer centric approach

About you

You must have:

  • Experience in telephone-based sales and retention roles

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Excellent rapport building skills

  • A Commercially focussed attitude with a target driven mindset, balanced with ethical selling principles

  • A willingness to be a strong team player

  • An ability to achieve targets through exceptional objection handling skills and high conversion rates

  • An ability to cope under pressure in a busy sales environment

  • Organisation skills and an ability to manage your own workload to achieve maximum results

  • An ability to work flexibly across a number of different campaigns

  • A thorough and trustworthy approach to completion of work

  • A Customer focussed mindset

You will ideally have:

  • Energy industry experience

  • Telephone sales experience in a highly regulated industry

  • Face to face sales experience

  • A good understanding of leads to sales processes and general lead management
