Our quarterly updates

Brandon Hill in Bristol

We‘re proud to be one of a new breed of smaller energy suppliers, providing a fairer deal and a way to support Bristol communities.

Wholly owned by Bristol City Council, we’re one of only two municipal energy companies in the UK. Our profits will be reinvested back into the city.

How are we doing?

Our customers:

As of 2 July 2017, we had 89,406 customer meter points on supply with us. A customer meter point is someone’s gas or electricity meter.

This means we’re supplying 49,670 households across the UK.

How much are they saving?

We save our customers on average around £219* per year on average on their energy bills.

Our energy:

How much renewable energy do you supply your customers?

For customers on My Green Plus tariff: 100% renewable electricity.

For our other tariffs, our customers get 24.3% - you can see our current fuel mix here.

And we have 29 partnerships with renewable generators across the country.

As we grow, we’re committed to increasing the level of green energy across all our tariffs.

We’ve also launched a Business Green tariff – 100% renewable electricity for small and medium sized businesses in Bristol.

Our funding:

We are funded by Bristol City Council as our only shareholder.

Our profits will be delivered straight back to Bristol City Council. It won’t happen overnight, but we are set to deliver a profit to the council within the next four years, to support essential services. We can all be part of the solution.
