The theme of this year’s event was “profit with a purpose”, and our Managing Director Peter Haigh spoke about the benefits of running a business “with heart”, and then told invited guests how we reinvest our profits back into the local community.
To mark the fact that we’re now offering gas and electricity to business customers, we entered all attendees into the prize draw – to win a bottle of champagne and a £50 charity donation in their name.
The winner was James Piper – Managing Director at Ecosurety, the UK’s leading compliance scheme and resource efficiency specialist, based in Almondsbury near Bristol.
James was recently named South West Young Director of the Year by the Institute of Directors and is now in the running for the IoD National Young Director of the year Award. Perhaps he will keep the champagne on ice until the results are announced!
James is also heavily involved with charities caring for special needs children.
“As a resource efficiency specialist we are passionate about protecting the environment and encouraging sustainability. An energy company that reinvests profits back into the local community of Bristol is definitely a good action we support.” James Piper, managing director of Ecosurety
The £50 donation has been made to local homelessness charity, Caring in Bristol, one of our charity partners.
We’re particularly keen to work with SMEs, micro-businesses, charities and community groups, to help you with your business energy needs.
By switching your organisation’s gas and electricity to Bristol Energy you can be a force for social good - supporting the regional economy and the community. You can be part of a meaningful change to the energy sector.
