This year, we focused the Week’s activities on ‘sustainability’ to align with Bristol Energy’s vision to create a sustainable energy company with social value at its heart.
We looked at Bristol Energy’s contribution to the city’s commitment to be carbon neutral by 2030, as well as ways individuals can support sustainability by reducing their carbon footprint.
Georgina Elliott from our People Team who headed up the Learning at Work Week’s events said:
We believe it’s important to get involved with Learning at Work Week as it gives our colleagues the chance to grow themselves both professionally and personally. The team and I really enjoyed delivering some fun, engaging and though-provoking activities around a very important subject, so we thank the Open University Business School and the Campaign for Learning for recognising our hard work with this award.
The Week’s activities looked at different areas of sustainability including: renewable energy, recycling, climate change and future technologies. The activities ranged from quizzes, to lunch and learns, bring and buy sales and top tip sessions.
Learning at Work Week is a highlight in the Bristol Energy calendar each year. It allows colleagues from across the business to pool their knowledge and collaborate on something that’s beneficial for everyone. We look forward to what’s in store next year.
