Salary: £22,000 - £25,000

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 Hours per week

About the role

Our Industry Operations Team plays an essential role for our customers by ensuring the smooth transfer of new customers and looking after the arrangements with our metering partners.

You will be part of a busy, energetic team, focusing on metering enquiries, customer data and resolving issues. You will engage with third parties and other suppliers to ensure our customers get the best service. In addition, you will be a point of contact within the business, to assist other teams and offer support.

Your main accountabilities will be to:

  • Always ensure excellent customer service

  • Ensure strong connections between our settlements and industry teams to ensure a consistent customer focused approach to all queries

  • Act as a subject matter expert in key industry activities e.g. smart metering, disputed reads, erroneous transfers and metering queries

  • Identify, investigate and resolve any issues with customer and metering data

  • Work closely with all the operational teams across our wider team

  • Take ownership of queries and issues coming from the customer, colleagues or other third parties

  • Support other teams across Bristol Energy with metering and industry data related enquiries

  • Support the management of our key contracts

  • Engage with our metering agents, other suppliers, third party service providers and customers

  • Assist the contact centre and deal with customer telephone queries when required

About you

You must have:

  • An enthusiasm for ensuring good customer experience

  • Significant experience of the UK energy industry within a similar role using energy industry processes, systems and dataflows

  • An analytical and detailed approach with a desire for making continuous improvement

  • A proactive and committed approach to resolving complex problems

  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and be efficient

  • A willingness to be a team player and be friendly and approachable in a fast moving environment

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical solutions in a way that can be understood by colleagues and customers

  • Excellent IT skills

You will ideally have:

  • Experience of using Junifer, SFE, uSmart or AFMS

  • Significant experience of Smart Metering rollout and SMETS2 processes and systems
