About the role

Our Digital Delivery Executive will support the digital aspects of our growth, retention, engagement and overall customer experience. You will ensure our digital estate (website, app, email) content and digital journeys meet customer expectations. You will implement day-to-day technical updates and improvements via our content management system and other editing and publishing platforms. In order to help us make strategic and tactical decisions, you will be expected to support on digital performance reporting using Google Analytics (and 360 suite) and related tools.

Your main accountabilities will be to:

  • Build and optimise content across our digital channels including emails, web pages, and assist with setting up basic website tracking
  • Support the implementation of digital aspects of business initiatives and campaigns including the launch of new products, improvements to our customer-facing switch journey, customer portal updates, marketing campaigns, lead capture forms and initiatives for B2C and B2B
  • Create reports and analyse performance of our digital channels and campaigns to recommend improvements and ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Research, analyse and report on digital marketing trends, successes, issues and explain analytical performance to non-technical audiences
  • Support the delivery of IT and Digital Roadmap tasks (as requested) – in particular supporting IT with any testing, housekeeping and risk focused tasks
  • Provide a range of stakeholders to provide digital /marketing advice and consultation
  • Support improvements to the usability, accessibility and performance of the website
  • Managing daily progress with our website development agency and other third parties
  • Schedule /post content across our social channels
  • Deliver effective email campaigns
  • Work closely with our PR, Marketing, Product, Customer Services, and Residential and B2B Sales colleagues
  • Support the delivery of pay per click and other digital campaigns with our external agency
  • Nurture and maintain social engagement by providing evening and weekend cover

About you

You must have:

  • Experience of analysis and reporting on digital properties, channels and campaigns
  • Experience of working within a busy marketing team delivering effective digital marketing, PPC and email campaigns
  • Experience of optimising a website for accessibility, usability and search engine visibility
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts and trends with a creative and innovative approach
  • Proactive and purposeful approach with the ability to balance the day to day technical requirements with opportunities for improvements
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders with the ability to communicate best practice and translate requests into technical requirements and deliverables
  • Working knowledge of website content management systems, basic HTML/CSS, social media analytics, Google Analytics, AdWords, Search Console, Tag Manager and email marketing best practice

You will ideally have:

  • Experience or understanding of the complexities of working within an in-house marketing function
  • Knowledge of Mailchimp or other email delivery platforms
  • Working knowledge of Drupal content management system
  • An understanding of project management and planning techniques
