A case of the January Blues?

Warning message

Like many other organisations, we've changed the way we work during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you can, please use your online account or our app to manage your energy with us. If your query is urgent and you do need to speak to us, it may take us longer to get to your call. You can find out more here about your account, meter readings and how we're working right now.

  • Bristol Energy casts its warm glow over Blue Monday.

Let Bristol Energy help put a smile on your face this winter.

The 16th January is Blue Monday – apparently the most depressing day of the year. And whilst we’re not convinced by the science coined by psychologist David Arnall and Sky Travel back in 2012, we do know that January is a difficult time for many.

Bills start coming through the door, it’s still dark outside, and our New Year’s resolutions are starting to crack… (or maybe that’s just us!)

But there are small ways to make a difference.

  • Switching energy suppliers is one way to put some money back in your pocket. Two thirds of us are paying £300 more a year than we need to – and switching takes just a few minutes
  • If you live in Bristol, we’ll be out on the Harbourside this Monday to energize your morning commute. And watch out for the SamFM squad who have a few surprises lined up to make you smile.
  • We’ve also joined forces with the city’s advice agencies to hold a Blue Monday event at the Galleries Shopping Centre. Drop in between 10am and 4pm for support on money, health, housing, energy and even more ways to beat Blue Monday.

If you’re worrying about your bills, don’t suffer in silence. There are other ways we can help. We’ve launched a new project to help people living in fuel poverty, which includes a discounted tariff to help those who need it most. Find out more.
