About the role

Bristol Energy is a national gas and electricity company that is challenging the norm. Built on strong values of fairness and accountability, we believe in using our energy as a force for social good.

We have big ambitions and are looking for people with the skills, determination and passion to build on our success. If you’ve got the relevant experience and are driven to make a difference we’d love to hear from you.

The B2B Retail Team plays an important role in the success of Bristol Energy. It is responsible for building a sizeable portfolio of electricity and gas business customers through six distinct channels to market: B2B Web Site/Inbound Direct Sales, Direct Tenders, Outbound Agency Agreements, TPI/Brokers, Price Comparison Sites and White Labelling.

As a challenger brand to the B2B market, and given Bristol Energy’s ethos, it is critical that all sales/customer facing staff conduct themselves in a professional and ethical manner. All members of the B2B Sales Team will be expected to take a “hands on” approach and multi-task where necessary. They will also be expected to support other B2B colleagues during peaks in workload across the customer journey.

As B2B Sales Executive you will be directly responsible for pricing (Half Hourly, Non Half Hourly and Gas), selling, negotiating and managing a portfolio of largely telephone and face-to-face (where required locally in Bristol and immediate surrounding areas) based customer relationships. In addition to managing day to day inbound sales enquiries, there is scope where possible (and carefully managed around managing inbound sale leads) to arrange face to face meetings with Bristol based companies. You will work as part of a small Sales Executive team with cross-sell support also provided from other customer facing colleagues. Given our aforementioned ethos, it is imperative these sales are also achieved in accordance with Bristol Energy’s agreed policies and procedures.

You will also be expected to provide sales support to other activities such as TPI/Broker commission payment administration as and when required. Another important aspect of the role will be to provide critical market intelligence back to the Business regarding competitor behavior, price positioning and product/proposition development.
